In this survay the total productivity of Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) and the productivity changes of branches was studied by using the method of Data Envelopment Analysis. Slacks-based measure of super-efficiency model was used to analyze the total productivity of the EDBI in the period of 1373-1384 and malmquist productivity index was used to measure the growth of productivity in branches from 1382 to 1384. The data needed to conduct such a study have been collected through library search and field study.
In SBM model, the cost of doubtful debts, major financial sources to grant facilities and number of employees were used as input and granted facilities is considered as output with the assumption of variable return to scale and the trend of moving averages of efficiency scores showed that the total productivity of EDBI has improved.
In calculating malmquist productivity index, the variables regarding the number of employees, profit and charges paid, administrative and personal expenses are used as inputs and facilities paid, fees and commissions income, non-cost deposits and costly deposits were used as outputs.
The outcomes showed that branch productivity has improved 1 percent in 1383 and 2 percent in 1384. In addition, branches were categorized in terms of productivity growth.
