Applying Analytical Network Process in SWOT (Case Study in Iran Insurance Company)
SWOT analysis does not present an analytical technique for defining significance of recognized factors and assessment of different strategic alternatives. Thus it has several problems in factors assessment. AHP technique solves some of the problems but it is not efficient when the factors have interdependency because it assumes the factors are independent. This assumption is not acceptable in analysis of internal and external environment affects. Therefore a suitable technique is needed which is suggested in the current study. This technique can be useful specially when there is interdependency among the factors of SWOT.
